Who You Are
We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals who can work in a team or independently, complete physical tasks unsupervised, and handle interactions with the public courteously. A good work ethic and the ability to work in all weather conditions are essential.
What the Job Involves
The role involves working with the Parks division to maintain over 100 parks and open spaces, grass verges, green spaces on roads, housing estates, and even school grounds within the Borough. Responsibilities include using horticultural machinery and ensuring the areas are in excellent condition for residents and visitors. This is a varied role requiring daily travel across the Borough.
Skills
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance
- Basic horticultural machinery knowledge
- Understanding of Health & Safety
- Driving licence up to 3.5 tonne (transit tipper)
- Plant knowledge (Desirable)
- Previous Supervisory Experience (Advantageous)
- Ability to follow instructions
- Good work ethic
